#AIE2022 – Resurgence. Resilience. Revival.

The African Insurance Exchange is being planned for 25 and 26 July 2022. The conference will be hosted by the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) and South African Insurance Association (SAIA). The organisers have already started putting together the agenda for what promises to be another spectacular event.

“The conference will be held in a hybrid format, with an in-person event at Sun City and a live-stream available for those who wish to participate virtually from their homes or offices,” says IISA CEO Thokozile Mahlangu.

Rates

The rates for individual bookings are as follows:

Live event at Sun City           R8 000 (members)    R9 500 (non-members)

Virtual event (live-stream)  R3 500 (members)    R5 000 (non-members)

Rates exclude VAT, transport, accommodation and leisure activities. Group bookings can also be made.

“The traditional golf day will be held on the day before conference starts,” says Thokozile. “Golfers can reserve their spots online when making their conference bookings.”

Limited capacity

“Due to Covid restrictions, which are still likely to be in place at conference time, we have had to limit the number of delegates who can attend at Sun City,” says Thokozile. “Registrations will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis. Delegates are encouraged to bear this in mind and make their booking sooner rather than later.”

NB: Only people who have been fully vaccinated or present a Covid-negative test result, not more than that 72 hours old, will be to allowed to attend the conference.

Theme

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Resurgence. Resilience. Revival.’

“We have gone through a lot in the last two years as an industry,” says Thokozile. “We have survived and are slowly coming out of the woods. It is pleasing to see how we are all focusing on reviving and taking the industry to another level – and hence the theme ‘Resurgence. Resilience. Revival.’

“We are definitely overcomers as an industry!”
